Some creatures have flying, which lets them soar above the battlefield. Flying creatures can be blocked only by other flying creatures or by creatures with reach. On defense, a creature with flying can block any attacking creature, either one with flying or one without.
Great work! White and blue decks often use creatures for an aerial assault that's hard to block.

702.17a Reach is a static ability.
702.17b A creature with flying can’t be blocked except by creatures with flying and/or reach. (See rule 509, “Declare Blockers Step,” and rule 702.9, “Flying.”)
